St. Mary's Soccer is working its way through the travel program evaluations and many of the age groups are finalizing rosters for the 2023-2024 seasonal year. 

A U10 RecPlus Only evaluation date has been added to the schedule on June 13th. This will be an evaluation for players who were not selected for a U9 or U10 travel team and wish to be considered for RecPlus or players who prefer not to play travel and wish to be considered for RecPlus. All travel selections for the U9 and U10 age groups will be completed by June 5. If your player attended the U9 or U10 Travel/RecPlus evaluation, their score will be used for the RecPlus draft and evaluation process. This third evaluation is offered for the RecPlus coaches to see the final pool of RecPlus players but is NOT a requirement for players to attend who have already been evaluated. The U10 RecPlus ages cover dates of birth from Jan 1, 2014 through Dec 31, 2015. Check-in will be at 5PM and evaluations will begin promptly at 5:30PM and end at 7PM. This evaluation will be held on Field #4 @ Chancellors Run Regional Park (21905 Chancellors Run Rd, Great Mills, MD 20634), The girls will be on 4A and the boys will be on 4B.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind families of the upcoming U8 RecPlus evaluations. The U8 RecPlus ages cover dates of birth from  Jan 1, 2016 through Dec 31, 2017.  These evaluations will be held at Field 4 @ Chancellors Run Regional Park (21905 Chancellors Run Rd, Great Mills, MD 20634). 

U8 RecPlus Boys - June 5th and June 15th @ CRRP Field 4; 5pm Check in; 5:30 evaluation start; 7PM end

U8 RecPlus Girls - June 8th and June 12th @ CRRP Field 4; 5pm Check in; 5:30 evaluation start; 7PM end

 

There is no fee to register for these evaluations.  All players interested in any age Travel or U8/U10 RecPlus programs should register and must attend at least one evaluation.  All evaluations will be held on the turf fields at either Chancellors Run Regional Park (21905 Chancellors Run Rd, Great Mills, MD 20634), Chaptico Park (26600 Budds Creek Rd, Mechanicsville, MD 20659), or  Lancaster Park (21550 Willows Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653).  Players should attend the evaluations for their given birth year: 

 

2016/2017 U8 - Jan 1, 2016 through Dec 31, 2017  (RecPlus only) 

2015 U9 - Jan 1, 2015 through Dec 31, 2015  (Travel & RecPlus) 

2014 U10 - Jan 1, 2014 through Dec 31, 2014  (Travel & RecPlus)

2013 U11 - Jan 1, 2013 through Dec 31, 2013

2012 U12 - Jan 1, 2012 through Dec 31, 2012 

2011 U13 - Jan 1, 2011 through Dec 31, 2011

2010 U14 - Jan 1, 2010 through Dec 31, 2010

2009 U15 - Jan 1, 2009 through Dec 31, 2009

2008 U16 - Jan 1, 2008 through Dec 31, 2008

2007 U17 - Jan 1, 2007 through Dec 31, 2007

2006 U18 - Jan 1, 2006 through Dec 31, 2006

2005 U19 - Jan 1, 2005 through Dec 31, 2005

 

Travel teams are formed for each years’ age group from U9 to U19, as numbers permit.  The U10 RecPlus teams will be formed by combining 2015 U9 and 2014 U10 players.

 

What to Bring:

• Appropriate athletic attire and footwear. (No zippers on clothing, shorts in particular.)
• A ball (size 4 U9-U12, size 5 all others), marked with the player’s name in permanent marker and properly inflated.
• Shin guards (required, players will not be allowed to play without them).
• Personal water

*  No current travel team or ODP apparel is allowed.  Any player showing up wearing Club or State attire will be asked to change, if they cannot change their attire they will not be allowed to participate in the evaluations.
