The exact amount of player fees is determined cooperatively among the team coach, team manager, and team parents as part of the process of forming the team’s annual budget. Fees vary among teams and are determined by numerous factors. The normal expenses covered typically include club admin fees, registration fees, coach license level, league fees, and tournament fees. Additional costs for private turf rental, referee fees, special training events, equipment and team administrative costs are other expenses that can also influence your team’s fees.
Registration for SMS Travel players is by invitation only. St. Mary's Soccer will communicate to selected players via email to register with both the club (SMS) and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) registration.
Travel teams can hold fundraising activities to help offset team expenses.

SMS Travel uniforms cost approximately $130 which includes home and and away kits (jersey, shorts and socks).

Beginning in 2018, Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) began using a new nationwide system called Soccer Connect to register players online. Once a player has been added to a travel team, you will be required to log onto MSYSA and register your player. Before you do, please have two items available digitally: 1) a photo of your player and 2) proof of age such as a passport or birth certificate. During the registration process, you will upload both to the new system.
The photo must be a head shot which clearly shows the player’s face and the proof of age must be clear and readable. When you have your documents available on your computer and are ready to register, use this link.
